crime before funding was cut in 2011.
Now 80% of crimes against vulnerable people,
or racist or homophobic crimes go unreported,
and domestic violence remains hidden.

The recent fiasco with G4S security at the Olympics showed that corporate aims often do not match society's. The army had to be deployed, because G4S's priority was private profits, not public safety. We must protect the police from profit-driven management, and say NO to privatisation.
